Sweet Rice Flour 50#

Sweet rice flour is milled from glutinous rice that is often known as "sticky" rice.  Glutinous rice flour is excellent for baking gluten free bread, muffins, and cakes.  It is also a superb thickener for soups, sauces, and gravies.  Sweet rice flour is used more like a starch in baking, adding moisture to baked goods.  Despite its name, it is not sweet like sugar but is often used in desserts.

Use this glutinous rice flour as part of a blend with potato starch, sorghum flour, and other gluten free flours.  As with most gluten free flours, it is suggested you add xanthan gum or guar gum when baking with glutinous rice flour.
